GRAPHIC DESIGN + ART DIRECTION

Making complicated things easily understood and looking good amazing is one of my favorite challenges. The diagram on the right is the solution I created after receiving direction to simplify the old diagram style, and align it with what performed the best for the dev audience. I also noted the old style didn’t pass accessibility requirements, so I made sure that was remedied when I refreshed the look and feel. I worked back and forth with the engineers to make sure the napkin sketches I received were translated properly when I worked on these kinds of projects.

The left side is not the old version of the diagram on the right, but a general representation of the previous branding, so you can see how it started, and how it’s going, after I worked my magic.

Below are a couple examples of where these diagrams lived in context on blogs, and social media. I’m proud to share the X (formerly Twitter) post was one of the highest performing social posts for NGINX because I landed the right visual treatment for the audience.
